Merry Merry Kids!

Let it snow!
What a wonderful way to end the week with a yummy cool whippy snow storm!
Of course I love it because I sit in my window with a strong cup of tea and just watch it fall.

When it snows like this this kitten stays put!

But it gives me even more time to wrap presents, listen to Eartha Kitt's Christmas tunes and plan my outfits for the holiday parties happening this weekend.

I do hope the snow lets up before tomorrow night or I may have to call a sled and coach & six!

More soon kittens-

Art Basel Frazzle

Hi Kittens!
Sorry I was out of touch last week.
I was TWIRLING in Miami for Art Basel.
It was my first time to the fair and I have to say- where is the recession?
Art was being bought up like mad and there were a plethora of parties every night.

I stayed at the Raleigh 1) Because I have a huge crush on Andre Balaz and 2) There is no other pool this kitty would be caught dead in. I brought my vintage one piece from the 30's!

Highlights included a book signing with Kelly Klein, dinner at The Standard and a wild wild night with the Visionaire crew at their party DJ'd by Lady Bunny.

Needless to say I am pooped!
So look out for next week when I will be in full Christmas mode!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a lush luncheon yesterday!
I sure did. I went to a jeweler friends of mine at 3pm and didn't leave till 2am!

We dined, had friends come in at all hours and did our share of drinking.
Now it is time to get into full Christmas mode!

I love New York at Christmas. Who doesn't like it when everything you see is sparkling?!

Im off to buy my tree this weekend. Just a little one to squeeze in my apartment.
And then it's time to shop shop shop!

J'adore Ike Ude's Style File!

Last night I headed over to Diane von Furstenberg's chic boutique in the Meat Packing District to celebrate the launch of my friend Ike's new tome- Style File.

There was such an amazing gaggle of fashion celebs in attendance! I was glad I wore my vintage wrap dress and floor length fur. It was a cold night for a kitten to be out.

Pat Cleveland was signing books on the grand staircase, Marisa Berenson was chatting with Diane von Furstenburg and Kenny Kenny, Stephen Knoll and Patrick McDonald were all there dressed to the nines.

I had a glass of wine (or two!) and had all the people in attendance who were in the book, sign my book. A collectors item!

Then I partied on with the boys at Beige till the wee hours.

Any reason to celebrate right?!

Your darling Eve is in a new book about design.
My 'creator' Nancy talks about our events with MAC cosmetics, Gallagher Art and Patricia Field.
Included in the book is a surreal picture of moi. Check it? How about those hands?!
Happy early weekend darlings!

Happy Halloween!

Hi Kids-
It's that time of the year. One of my favorites.
I simply love getting all dolled up and trick or treating.
But of course you know I only 'T&T' for champagne and chocolate!

This year I will be avoiding the parade (too much for this kitten!) and heading up to Harlem for a soiree at a DJ friends house.
The music will surely be swell and loads of my downtown dudes will be spending the evening on the 'Upper Upper West Side!'

How do you like my outfit?
I am going as a towering townhouse- like my brick stockings?
Ring my bell!

St. Petersburg!

Zdrastwee from Venice of the North!

Ahhhh the canals, palaces and cathedrals!

This is a city I could retire in. I went to the Hermitage all day on my first day and that night after dinner of caviar (helloo!) I went back to see Swan Lake in Catherine the Great's private theater. So chic!

Day two was spent in the country admiring Catherine's palace and the tapestries at Gatchina. The Czar's certainly knew how to live!

Now my dears, Eve is terribly jet lagged but admire a couple of pictures from my trip and I will post again shortly.

Meow from Moscow!

Hi Darling!
So sorry I have been out of the loop for a while but I have been busy in bustling Moscow.
Why you say? Why not?
Fall in Russia is just so romantique.
The falling leaves, the cool weather, and the men in military uniform!

I had an amazing tour guide who whipped me around the Kremlin where I saw Catherine the Great's coronation gown!
I also lit a candle at St. Basil's and had cocktails on the roof top terrace of the Ritz.
This cat could get used to the Russian lifestyle. Vodka anytime? Im in!

Off to Russia!

Hello My little Babushka's!
Yes it is true-
Eve is off heading to the Mother Land.
I will be in Moscow for a week and St. Petersburg for a week.
I will have loads to report back on.
THe Big Russia bling! furs! Vodka! Caviar!

Oh you should see my trunks. They runneth over in fashion.
I have to show those Muscovites that the American's still got it!

Luckily the cool crisp nip in the air here in New York is preparing me for the Russian climate.
I can't wait to see the palaces, the Hermitage and of course the shopping.
Hope to hit a club or two while I am there too.

Will keep you posted.
More soon!

Go see the Line of Fashion!

Hi Dolls!
My dear friend Robert Richard has curated a great show of fashion illustrations from the turn of the century to present day.
WOW!
There are so many amazing artists represented and the work is spectacular. There is even an entire wall dedicated to my dollfriend Patrick McDonald.

Check out this review on Style.com

And the pictures I took of the artists and artwork.

Go go go and check this out!

Post Fashion Week Spa Time!

WOW! What a week. Obviously it has taken me this long just to post a story I have been so exhausted.
After seeing a load of shows, attending beacoup de after parties and drinking my share of champagne this kitten needed some down time.

I headed over to Silk Day Spa for a massage, facial, mani, pedi and went back for a hot stone massage and foot rub after being in heels all week!
http://www.silkdayspa.com/

The rest of my week I spent on Style.com and the New York Times blog checking out any party and show I had to miss out on.

A gal can only do so much!

Happy Fashion Week!

Hi Kids!
Mama Eve has been in a social swirl checking out all the shows for Spring Summer 2009.
Good news is; Lots of color! Lots of 80's love and more importantly- lots of skin!

We loved our friend Charles Nolan's show, which was an ode to the 1930's American expats in Paris.
We are giving him a bell asap for those short shorts!

I am heading to Zac Posen tomorrow night so I can't wait to see what he has in store for my evening looks.

Tonight we are getting super dolled up for the opening party at Bergdorf Goodman in celebration of their windows which are a tribute to the great photographer Bill Cunningham. I wonder if I am in one of the street shots? I'll have to have a closer look!
Our friend Patrick McDonald is all over it! So we will be celebrating with him.

OK, got to go get my face whipped into shape before I hit the town.

Happy Labor Day!

Can you believe summer is winding down? No more gallivanting around town in corsets and panties for me!
Now I have to haul out my vintage YSL chubby and snuggle into it before a night out.

Ah but darlings Fashion Week is upon us. Shows! Champagne! Celebutards!
Yes that's right. I said Celebutards. Who isn't tired of waiting for a show to start or getting trampled by photogs (ruining my satin peep toe Louboutins!) because some D list celebrity is attending a show or event?

I say take a stand! Citizen arrest for public misconduct! Write their publicists! It's all too much.
But besides them, Fashion Week is always such fun. It’s a great time to see all my friends and preview what I will be wearing in spring 2009.

So everyone rest up this Labor Day long-weekend and get ready to rumble in the tents at Bryant Park!

Aloha Japan!

Konichiwa darlings!

I have been a busy been enjoying these dog days of summer.
On Tuesday I attended the party at Aloha Rag to celebrate Japanese Fashion Week.
Sorry to say I cannot attend in Tokyo since I must here in New York City for our own gorgeous Fashion Week.
So I got to meet the people behind the shows and tour the gorgeous new store in Tribeca.

One of the models was adorned in a sparkly body suit. I told the store to put that on hold for moi.
A must have!

I saw all my editor friends as well as Patrick McDonald, Matt Bell, the Mao boys and the always whacky Lynn Yaeger.

This weekend I am off to Atlantic City to check out the new Beatrice Inn they have opened out there.
I have been taking my Milk Thistle pills all week to build up my liver for a weekend of debauchery.

Here come's trouble!

Eve is back!

Hi Darlings!
I know I have been incommunicado for the past several weeks but lil ole me simply had to take a break from my busy life of, well, of, um, being me!

I headed out to Los Angeles for some R&R at the Chateau Marmont. I've loved that movie ever since Raquel Welch filmed Myra Brekenridge there. I sipped Arnold Palmer's by the pool by day and met up with all of my West Coast cats for fun nights on the town in the evenings. Halcyon Days!

I have included a photo of one of my looks I sported in LA. The glasses are an ode to Peggy Guggenheim my art idol!
The look was such a success that I had my dear friend Jason Wu cast it in my doll collection. How chic is that?

Now I'm back and ready to blog.
More soon!

Happy belated 4th!

Sorry Darlinks-
I haven't had a moment to blog sine my glittery long weekend!
I of course spent it in the city. Who needs country life?! I relax when I gaze into the windows at Bergdorfs
and get my fill of trees in Central Park.

I had a fab 4th on the roof top of a friends loft in Brooklyn.
We danced, cocktailed and when the sun set, we had an amazing view of all of the fireworks!

I then hit up a round of fun parties in the city that somehow kept me out for two days.
Time flies when you're feline!

Anyhoo, hope everyone had a good one and stay tuned for more from me.
I will be taking a short break next week to chill out and give my manicured nails a rest from the laptop!

I've been exposed at the National Arts Club!

oh oh oh I am so excited!

Last Thursday all of my nearest and dearest friends came out to support me and all of my illustrious illustrations.
Hosted by Nancy, Patrick and Cator we had an A-Z of amusing friends, fans, family and occasional lovers including Kenny Kenny, The Blondes, The Mao PR boys, Austin Scarlett, Emma Snowden-Jones, Michael Fink, Laren Stover,Stephen Knoll and James Aguiar to name a few.

I had so much fun mingling amongst the crowd, imbibing a tad bit of white wine and stealing away a chocolate bon bon specially made for us by Fritz Knipschildt whenever I could. No dinner for me doll, just rose flavored chocolate!

I want to thank everyone who came out to support me. It was truly a magical evening and I could not have done it without all the love and lust from y'all.

Here is to many more swank soirees!

Im turning Chocolate!

More exciting news on my front Kittens!
Well not on my 'front'. There is always something to say about them.
I mean, more news about me silly!

I met the most delectable Dane, Fritz Knipschildt recently and after several cocktails, I found out he is a Master Choclatier!
He moved here in 1999 after working in France and Spain and opened up his own chocolate company and cafe Chocopologie in South Norwalk Connecticut. Well here is the best part- he is turning me into chocolate!

In the next couple of months Fritz (don't you just love that name?) is going to be releasing mini confections featuring sexy and sweet images of MOI on all of my Gotham escapades.

If you can't wait to taste my tail, check out http://www.knipschildt.net/ and see what else fabulous Fritz has up his sleeve.

Ok, see all y'all this Thursday at the National Arts Club,
It is looking fab!

Weekend brunch with Keanan and Nancy

Cou-cou c'est moi!
Well things are swinging right along over at the National Arts Club. I have picked out my outfit and bought a new pair of heels at Louboutin.

This weekend I am planning to get some much needed beauty sleep and catch up on my movie nights. I have been dying to see Elizabeth Taylor in BOOM again. That diamond! That head dress! That Noel Coward! Such a hoot in a handbag.

Sunday I am looking forward to an amusing brunch with my friends Keanan Duffty and his wife Nancy. Keanan was New Romantic back in the 80's and he had a fabulous band. Today he is a famous designer who just did a collection with David Bowie for Target! He just started another band too named the Slinky Vagabonds.
And guess what kids, he wrote a song just for moi!
It's called 'Meow Mix' and I listen to it every night when I am getting ready to hit the town.

Well lovely's it about time for a pedicure. These Kitten heels need a good buffing!

Magic Mystery is in the works Dolls!

Morning my little glories-

I am plum pooped from all this work installing my show at the National Arts Club. I mean it is exhausting watching all those gorgeous men fondle my work and make sure they are centered!

It's going to be a puuuurfectly amazing night. Much better than that Sex and the So and So premier. Yawn! Those girls don't know anything about the real New York. Did they ever belt one out with Billy Holiday at the Lenox Lounge? Bang on trashcans and make art with forks with the Beats in the Village? Or did they ever have their bottom lashes applied by Edie Sedgwick at The Factory?
I bet not!

Darling's I have been through it all in New York and my paintings will prove it. Did you know I was the inspiration behind HAIR? Or that CBGB's was originally called EVE GB's? Well, sorta, one night when Sid Vicious put up a fake sign for yours truly. I'm just glad I didn't go home with him and Nancy to the Chelsea Hotel that night. We know how that ended! Poor lamb.

Eve is always one to keep her finger on the pulse of the city, not in a stylist’s closet! I was groovin' with the Sugar Hill gang and in the early 80's used to photograph all the graffiti around the city. I loved it! So colorful and exciting. Much more appealing to look at than another Chase bank or Starbucks.

Speaking of graffiti, an old friend of mine is coming to my party, Claw Money! She is the original bad girl of tagging. But she is all grown up now and has her on clothing line and is an editor at Swindle. I can't wait to toast her and her new marriage.

Ok, I have to head to Stephen Knolls to get my 'hair did' as he likes to say.
See you soon!

Hooray Darlinks! Eve is going on exhibit!

Well you know that I always like to exhibit myself in peep toes, push up bras and waist cinching corsets, but starting June 19th the National Arts Club is exhibiting my artwork for two weeks!

Time to pop some champagne!

The best part is that Nancy Bacich, Patrick McDonald and Cator Sparks are hosting a reception for me on Thursday June 19th.
I do hope all of my friends can come and have a sip and take a tour.

'The Club' as I like to call the NAC, is such a swank place with its oak paneled drawing rooms and over stuffed furniture. I like to think of it as my home every time I swish through those front doors. Oooh maybe I will wear a bustle to my opening!

Well on that note, I need to raid my closet.
More soon!

Welcome to my world Darlings!

Can you believe I finally have a blog?
I do hate that word. How about Le Blogue?
Sounds like that French restaurant I adore in Moscow.

Anyways, welcome one and all! I will be posting weekly tidbits about my life, love and sometimes liquor.
Whatever tickles my fancy! Mmm. Tickles. Who's got a feather?!

It's a rainy day in New York but Miss Kitten's cuddled up in bed, laptop next to me, Jill Scott cooing in the background
and a cocktail on the bedside table. Cocktail at 3? Why not! As mother always says, it's cocktail hour somewhere in the world!

I must dash though. Have a hot date at the Sub-Mercer tonight.
What to wear?!

Until next time.
All my blush,

Eve
